It's Raining, It's Changing

The framing has started to go up, the plumbing was getting put in. Van visits the site every day and have made little changes here and there and kept watch to make sure that everything is getting done by the plans along with the little changes here and there.

It's the little changes here and there that are confusing.

When we originally got the plans (after about the twentieth or so draft), the kitchen had a peninsula. Brian told us that we can always change how we want that done because that was all cosmetic (not effecting the structure of the building) but what we have learned is that you should get as much as you want on those plans so when the general contractor goes out for bids, there is no confusion. As you can probably tell, we changed the layout of the kitchen. With Lan's help (anyone want some interior designing done, email her at lanihdougherty@yahoo.com.), we managed to get the kitchen we wanted... however it is still a work in progress. For anyone who wants to makeover your kitchen, when they say make an inventory of the stuff you got in your kitchen, you really should. It'll make your life a lot easier.

And to top it all off... it rained... it didn't do the misty thing like we all So Cal's are used to... it poured. With the lighting and the thunder. Van was not happy. I hope this isn't a precursor of things to come.
